Finally there's a fun, easy-to-follow game that teaches American Sign Language! The included DVD with live action demonstrations by young, friendly ASL "pros" takes the guesswork out of signing because every sign is shown clearly and accurately. In level 1 you'll learn 60 words (10 words in six different categories), the alphabet and numbers 1-10.

"See It and Sign It" includes:

• 60 Word Cards: Each card shows how to sign a different word
• 2 Secret Decoder Lenses: Reveals the hidden word on the back of each card
• 10 Game Boards: Two-sided game boards allow you to play with 30 words first or all 60 so that you can move at your own pace.
• 8 Easy-Remember Guides: Each gives helpful hints on how to remember each sign.
• 1 DVD: Live demonstrations on DVD ensure that every sign is done accurately. Includes practice section.
• Instructions: 6 different games that can be played with the cards and game boards.

Ages 7 years and up.

Even though the game is age graded for readers (usually ages 7 and up) the game can easily be played by children as young as 3 or 4 using the card illustrations as flip cards. The instructor can select a card, sign the word, and ask children to respond with the correct word. This is an excellent way to encourage speech.

The teacher can also have non-readers watch the DVD. The teacher can say the word as it is being signed, and encourage children to say the word and execute the sign.

The 60 words on the cards are from 6 categories as follows:

• Actions: dance, fall, jump, play, run, sit, sleep, stop, talk, walk
• Animals: bird, butterfly, cat, cow, dog, elephant, fish, pig, snake, turtle
• Colors: black, blue, brown, green, orange, pink, purple, red, yellow, white
• Feelings: afraid, happy, like, love, mad, please, sad, sick, sorry, thank you
• Food: apple, banana, bread, cookie, drink, food/eat, ice cream, juice, milk, water
• People: baby, boy, brother, dad/father, friend, girl, man, mom/mother, sister, woman/lady
