There are 7 shapes: square, equilateral triangle, right-angled isosceles triangle, right-angled scalene triangle, obtuse isosceles triangle, circle, and half circle. Extra-large versions of the circle, square and triangles are included for children from 3 to 4 years of age.
The surfaces of the first six Gifts are the basis for the shapes of the tablets in Gift 7. While the first six Gifts allow your child to create three-dimensional representations of objects around them, Gift 7 allows your child to create these same objects in two dimensions. Present each tablet shape along with its corresponding solid Gift piece.
Forms of Knowledge:
Gift 7 is ideal for introducing geometry to your child. Your child can combine the individual shapes to form a wide variety of geometric shapes. Discuss the name of each shape, as well as the number of sides and angles that compose each shape. Compare the various triangles with one another. Talk with your child about angles in his/her world.

Allow your child to combine shapes to represent objects in his/her life. The included booklet contains illustrated examples of such forms.
Forms of Beauty:
Color and pattern can be explored in depth with this Gift. Your child will enjoy creating beautiful mosaics as he/she experiments with different placements of each shape.
