DVD Regions and VHS Compatibility

Most of our DVDs, except for Baby Einstein videos, are encoded for worldwide use (all Regions). DVDs encoded for Region 1 only (U.S., U.S. Territories, and Canada) may not work on DVD players in other countries. Baby Einstein videos are encoded for Region 1 (U.S, Canada, U.S. Territories) only.

All of our VHS videos follow the 60 Hz, NTSC format. This is the video format used in North America and Japan. NTSC videotapes will not work on most videocassette players in countries that use PAL, SECAM, or other video standards.
